QEH have recently hosted Culture Day, a lively event that brought together pupils and staff to celebrate the range of cultures within the school community.

The event was hosted by over 60 students who took centre stage, showcasing their heritage through maps, artwork, homemade delicacies, photographs, music, language lessons, and various interactive activities. The school room buzzed with energy as pupils and staff immersed themselves in the diverse offerings.

Culture Day donations also contributed over £1,000 to Children in Need. The generosity of the school community was further highlighted by a South Africa-themed hamper donated by two families.

The success of Culture Day at QEH was not just about showcasing diverse cultures but also about fostering unity, understanding, and a sense of community. The event will undoubtedly be etched in the school’s memory and will become an annual event for years to come.

Culture Day was an amazing opportunity to share and celebrate the rich blend of cultures we have in our school community”

Duke of Edinburgh Award students give back

We are delighted that our pupils have been successful in their efforts to gain top GCSE grades after 18 months of Covid-related disruption to learning. This year’s exam success is a result of the pupils’ commitment to learning, ably supported by both teachers and parents.
