Music Technology
With our dedicated music studio, we offer workshops for pupils to learn the basics of how to use a recording studio and also give them the opportunity to record their own ensembles or solo performances.
Music technology is now a well-recognised subject within the A-level curriculum and offers students the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the big-money music technology industry.
Whether a student is interested in designing acoustic spaces to house traditional orchestral ensembles, programming jingles for television adverts, becoming a sound engineer for a professional studio or touring band, or even becoming the next top music producer, then this course sets him off in the right direction.
We also run a weekly music tech club as well as regular recording workshops. These allow pupils of any age or experience the chance to use our suite of Macs to compose on the most up-to-date software, or learn how to set-up, record and master live recording sessions. These skills are then put to task at a range of school concerts, which are recorded and mastered by the pupils themselves.
