Welcome to QEH vacancies page

Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital (QEH) was founded in 1590, today we are a vibrant, future thinking school of almost 800 pupils. Our Junior School is for pupils from Year 3 to Year 6, our Senior School for Years 7 to 11 and our Sixth Form for Years 12 and 13.

We want QEH to continue to be known as a great place to work and develop a career – both in academic and operational roles. Our staff set themselves high standards and the school has high expectations of them. We will support and develop staff personally as well as professionally.

When there are vacancies at QEH, full details of the position and the application procedure will be available below.

Celebrating our ISI Excellence

We are delighted to share the results of our autumn 2025 Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection. At QEH, we are especially proud to have been awarded a ‘Significant Strength’ for our provision for Pupils’ Physical and Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing.

This rare distinction, currently held by only 10% of schools, is a testament to the dedication of our staff in creating a nurturing and aspirational environment where every pupil can thrive. The report also confirms that QEH is fully compliant, meeting every required standard for independent schools.

We invite you to watch our short video to see these highlights in action and discover what makes the QEH experience so unique.

At QEH School we know that diversity fosters creativity and innovation. We are committed to equity of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive and we welcome applications from under-represented groups

QEH School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).  The School may carry out online searches on shortlisted applicants and all applicants will be required to provide details of their online profile, including social media accounts, as part of their application.

All positions within the School are exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Thank you for making Alec’s first week so enjoyable. He’s loved every day and has come home really happy. In particular, he’s said the other boys have made him feel really included and like he’s always been there.
