The Year 5 and 6 Drama Club left audiences amazed with an extraordinary performance of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Their ambitious and creative interpretation brought fresh energy to the timeless tragedy, captivating all who attended. Set against a gritty, ‘Peaky Blinders’-inspired backdrop, the production reimagined the play with remarkable flair and originality, accompanied by the show’s soundtrack Nick Cave’s Red Right Hand, which set an eerie tone befitting the dark themes of the play. Jago, Year 6, delivered a masterful portrayal of Macbeth, capturing the character’s tormented descent into madness with confidence and depth. Archie, Year 6, gave a compelling performance as Lady Macbeth that was equally enthralling, seamlessly balancing ruthless ambition with moments of poignant vulnerability.

The ensemble cast played a vital role in creating an immersive experience, staying on stage throughout the performance and transitioning between roles and emotions with impressive skill. Their collective energy and precision built a powerful atmosphere that resonated with the audience. This remarkable production was the result of unwavering dedication from the cast, the invaluable support of parents, and the expert guidance of staff. The boys’ passion and commitment ensured that this reimagining of Macbeth will be remembered as a standout moment in the Junior School’s history.

Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this ambitious and unforgettable production to life!

Marshmallows and Peer Support!

Since joining the school, we have been constantly amazed by the support and kindness given by the teachers, staff and other pupils and, above all, by the injection of fun that infiltrates throughout whether they're playing sport, completing a science project and participating in a school play.  No doubt there will be challenges ahead but we're confident the school will provide the support and guidance that has our sons' best interests at heart.
