QEH Students Shine in their A-Level Results

A morning of celebration at QEH as students collect their A-level results.

QEH is delighted to share another year of outstanding A-level results. A remarkable 51% of all grades achieved were A* or A, compared to the national average of 28%. In addition, an impressive 77% of all grades awarded were A* to B. Furthermore, an incredible 95% of grades awarded to students who joined the school in Year 12 were A* – B grades.

It was fantastic to welcome students and parents to school today to celebrate their achievements. The school was filled with great excitement and celebration as results were collected.

Head, Rupert Heathcote, said: “We are immensely proud of the achievements of all our students. These results are a testament to their hard work and determination. It is wonderful to see students reaching their full potential and exceeding their expectations. I would like to express my sincere thanks to our exceptional staff for their tireless dedication to our students’ success.”

This year’s outstanding cohort includes both School Captains, Ed and Anastasia, who achieved straight A and A* grades. They have led by example, both academically and as exemplary role models. We are delighted to report that all our Oxbridge candidates have secured their places, as have all those hoping to study medicine and veterinary science. Over 20% of our students achieved straight A*/A grades.

A key factor contributing to this year’s success is the dedicated work of staff in supporting students of all abilities.  This has resulted in incredible success stories across the cohort.

These results surpass our pre-Covid benchmarks, exceeding the achievements of 2018.

A remarkable 91% of QEH students applying to university have secured places at universities of their choice to study their desired courses.

With a broad Sixth Form curriculum offering 29 subjects, QEH provides students with an excellent range of options to pursue their passions and prepare for their future. Our Year 13 leavers are now embarking on an exciting array of university courses, ranging from Medicine to Football Journalism and Zoology to Aerospace Engineering.

As our leavers embark on the next chapter of their lives, we encourage them to continue embodying the QEH spirit of ‘Whilst we have time, let us do good.’ We wish them every success and hope they will maintain their connection with the school through our Elizabethan Society.

As well as being Head of Religion and Philosophy, Zak leads our digital vision. He was instrumental in developing our excellent online learning offering during lockdown, much to the relief of our parents, and is now leading the roll out of our school device programme.
