Unbeaten rugby season

Year 7 went on a team building trip to Osmington Bay PGL centre for a weekend of activities and friendships.

Many congratulations to the five rugby teams who have completed an unbeaten season!

The under 12A, B and C teams, the under 13B and the under 16A teams have played 44 matches since September and scored a total of 1,340 points (352 against). The boys played with consistent determination and it was a delight to see their confidence grow as the season progressed.

The U16 squad did have an additional incentive to finish their season undefeated as their coach, Mr Martineau, had agreed to sacrifice his ponytail if they achieved this milestone. After winning the final match, team captain George Leyland took on the role of barber in senior assembly and the pony tail was gone!

Director of Sport, Mr Joslin, said, ” We’re very proud of the boys. They played in some competitive matches and that’s when we saw their resilience and willingness to dig in. Team spirit and good sportsmanship has been a feature throughout and, needless to say, we’re already looking forward to next season!”

Well earned celebrations for the undefeated under 12s.

This is a really welcoming school.  All the teachers make me feel good about myself and the older pupils are really nice as well.
