Ten Tors 2017

Last weekend saw another hugely successful Ten Tors weekend with the QEH boys proving yet again just how tough and resilient they really are.  In total, 35 boys took part in the Challenge, with 30 representing the school at the 35, 45 and 55 mile levels.  This is an achievement unsurpassed in the whole history of the event.



Brilliant Spring Concert at St George's!

On Tuesday evening, St George's Bristol rang to the sound of tumultuous applause as the talented young musicians of QEH presented a wide range of challenging  repertoire.



Howzat!

Twenty students and two staff enjoyed a fantastic cricket tour to Granada in the West Indies during half term.  While Bristol shivered in frost and ice, they were fortunate to have very warm and sunny days!

A Wealth of Talent

At QEH we have incredible musical talent, worthy of the professional concert hall and this was on full display last Friday for the House Music Solo Finals. QEH Theatre was as far as one needed to go to hear truly exceptional performances.



Cathedral Carol Service

Term came to an end with a celebration of Christmas at Bristol Cathedral.  The choir was in great voice and led the service with some beautiful a cappella singing.



QEH and Redmaids High sing at the Lord Mayor's Mansion

QEH boys and Redmaids' High girls were invited once again to take part in the annual Lord Mayor's 'At Home' tea party, held at the Mansion House in Clifton.

 



QEH students give a great performance

'Jerusalem' by Jez Butterworth became an instant modern classic when it was first performed in 2009 and last week, QEH students gave it their own stunning interpretation.
