Space Club goes to the Moon!

Pupils from Space Club have been investigating various aspects of space exploration.  Teams of budding space engineers designed, budgeted for and constructed their very own lunar lander, capable of safely landing their intrepid egg-stronauts when dropped from a height of 4 meters.

To be or not to be . . .

Tackling Hamlet was always going to be challenging. How could the Drama department make those famous words sound fresh and truthful? How could they cut it down from around four hours to something more palatable? And have a large cast involved?

A Nordic Winter Adventure

19 boys accompanied by Mr Porter and Dr Jönsson spent a chilly week in Finnish Lapland over February half term.

House Music Finals raise the roof!

The House Music ensembles and choirs final was a lively and good natured evening.  Choirs had been rehearsing at every break and lunch time, learning songs teamed with choreography while the ensembles, organised by senior students, had been practising regularly.

Author, Bali Rai returns to QEH

Bali Rai made a return visit to QEH on Wednesday 13 February and spoke to Year 9 during two sessions in the library.

Spanish Chefs

Pupils studying modern foreign languages at QEH learn more than just grammar and vocabulary!  Several of Señorita Mantle’s Year 8 and 9 hispanists have been donning their chef's hats to create some delicious Spanish and Latin American dishes at home.
