In 2016 QEH celebrated another set of outstanding set of A-level results with more A* grades awarded than ever before! 30% of all grades achieved by students were the top A* grade and once again A*/A grades have made up over half of all the results awarded.
100% of boys achieved A*-C grades, for the eleventh year running, and almost every boy achieved his first-choice place at a top university or medical school, including Oxford and Cambridge.
Over 10% of students will be taking up places at Oxbridge in September. Once again, all candidates sitting the EPQ performed extremely well with 75% of candidates achieving A*/A grades.
A third of all students taking GCSEs at QEH this year have achieved straight A*/As, with A* grades accounting for 40% of all those awarded at the school and two thirds of grades at A*/A.
Once again this success is demonstrated across all areas of the curriculum. 75% of Maths students were celebrating securing A*/A grades while the English Department proved this subject continues to thrive at the school, with three quarters of English Literature and English Language students awarded A*/As. Staff in the Music department, which will shortly undergo an expansion of facilities, were also thrilled to see 100% of their students achieve A*/A grades.
