Informal grey and teal seating with vibrant red highlights, and a splash of hot orange and yellow, will create a welcoming space, in which Sixth Formers can relax and socialise. The furniture is modular so the layout can be changed if necessary, as the space will be large enough to hold whole year group meetings. Art work by QEH students will be showcased on the walls.
Group work tables at one end of the room will allow students to collaborate and work together. A short stroll across the corridor, lies the quiet work room adjacent to the relocated IT suite, which is being updated to include IT 'pods' with a mixture of fixed computer terminals and a number of access points for students to connect their own devices. Areas of Upper Berkeley Place will also be remodelled to house new changing and showering facilities for Sixth Formers.
