A cast of 30 young QEH actors had been hard at work since September, to perfect their lines and polish their performances. They rehearsed at least once a week as a whole cast, with extra sessions for smaller groups and particular scenes.
"Their effort and dedication has been fantastic," said Mrs Sarah Hall, Head of Performing Arts. " I am so proud of them. This is the fourth year we have had a group perform in the Festival, and the boys always rise to the challenge magnificently!"
The performance was appraised by Nicholas Richards, Shakespeare Schools Festival Stage Director, who noted, "This was performed by a hugely talented cast who gave this epic story the kind of big, bold production which it deserves! It was stirring, imaginative and quite simply electrifying."
QEH boys have a weekly Drama lesson in the QEH Theatre and regulary have the opportunity to perform there in concerts and plays.
