Ten teams from schools around Bristol and Bath competed in the heats. It was a really exciting event, with the lead changing hands several times. With questions on science ranging from space exploration, to the periodic table, electric voltaic piles, dinosaurs and extinct animals to name but a few, the standard was high. The QEH quartet from Years 5 and 6 started slowly, but once the boys got into their stride they started to rise up the leader-board, and took over second place from The Grange (Monmouth) towards the end. This position they held, and with a very high second place score they have a reasonable chance of qualifying for the semi-finals. Well done, boys!
