Q E Award

The QE Award is our own exclusive junior version of the highly popular Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.  It is carefully designed for boys in Years 5 and 6 of the Junior School, as well as for younger Senior School years.  The scheme introduces new skills and experiences outside the boys' usual 'comfort zones', building confidence and resilience, encouraging them to feel good about themselves.

The boys participate in a variety of modules including learning to get around in the outdoors and expeditioning; finding out more about British wildlife; doing voluntary work with the National Trust; and bushcraft and adventure activities.  The boys have a log book in which they record their endeavours, usually with lots of photos!  The QE Award culminates in Year 6, with an overnight camp on Exmoor.
