The task for those of us today who share John Carr’s vision, or have benefited from it, is to ensure that we hand on to the next generation a QEH which is in good heart, financially secure, and equipped to meet the challenges of the modern age.
The Development Office was set up in 2002. One of the main functions of this office is developing the school’s ability to continue, and indeed increase, bursary funds. We are proud of our record of providing scholarships and bursaries, which have helped to maintain QEH’s reputation as a place of high achievement where all are welcome.
As well as bursaries the Development Office supports our long term development plan by raising money towards major building projects. The most recent of these is the outstanding new Science and Art Building, officially opened on 21 October 2016. As well as major projects, the office also regularly funds smaller projects to improve the quality of students’ learning.
The Development Office is also of course here to help Old Elizabethans organise reunions and dinners. We promote networking opportunities for former and current pupils, and encourage OEs to provide career advice and forums for current pupils.
Please join the 'QEH Bristol Alums
' group on LinkedIn, a valuable networking opportunity for Old Elizabethans where we will post news.
We also have a 'QEH Bristol Alumni
' Facebook group.
